Privacy policy
Keap currently stores annotations in your browser and does not send them to our servers.
What Keap stores
Keap stores the highlights, notes, page titles, page URLs, and location information that you create. It also stores your Keap settings, such as enabled site patterns and colour preferences.
Where your data goes
Keap stores this data in Chrome's local extension storage in your current browser profile. Keap does not operate a server and does not transmit, sell, rent, or share your annotations with third parties.
Permissions
Keap needs access to web pages so it can show annotation controls and restore the annotations you saved on those pages. The storage permission stores your data locally, downloads creates backups you request, and tabs identifies the active page for the popup and Library.
Your choices
You can delete individual annotations, clear annotations for a page, or remove all extension data by uninstalling Keap. You can also export your data as JSON or Markdown from Library / Settings.
Changes to this policy
If Keap introduces a service that changes how data is stored or transmitted, this policy and the extension's in-product disclosure will be updated before that change takes effect.
